Poojya Rajendra Swamy

Rev. Fr. Anthony Maria Platey called as Rajendra Swamy in Southern Karnataka, came from Italy to win souls for Christ. As a very good pastor and a zealous missionary, he brought many people to Christ. Anthony Maria Platey breathed his last on 07-10-1719, the day of the Feast of Our Lady of Rosary. He was buried at the church of Chikkarasinakere, which was solemnly declared as Poojya Rajendra Swamy Shrine.
